Moroccan-born Sofia Pernas moved to California in the year she turned 5 old. She lived living in Orange County. Her breakout moment began in 2015. She graduated in 2015 with a graduation from University of California San Diego. Pernas was a guest on a couple of episodes on NCIS and Leverage, before securing her role as Marisa on The Young and the Restless. After leaving the soap opera in the year 2016, she landed another recurring part on Jane the Virgin as Catalina. The model who speaks several languages is now on The Brave as Hannah Rivera, The Green Ghost and Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Between 2019 and 2020, she appeared as Lexi Vaziri in Blood & Treasure. Us Weekly confirmed in May 2020 that Pernas was dating her former The Young and the Restless co-star Justin Hartley. The relationship began shortly after that the This Is Us star split with her wife Chrishell Stause November of 2019. Then, in May 2021 news was reported that Pernas Hartley had recently married in secret.
