Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe is a child of the mixed race family of South London in England. Her father is Nigerian as well as Swiss, while her mother is English. Her family was in the South London Council Estate and was a student at The Brit School aged 14. She went to The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London where she gained a BA in acting. During her time at the school, she was a part-time actor in numerous stage productions, including the King Henry V playing Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe got her start in acting through a short film called Storm Damage. In the following years, she appeared in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film was that of the Woody Allen 2007 movie Cassandra's Dream. She starred with Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. The following year she portrayed Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she was a part of Trexx as Ollie and six episodes in Flipside. She also was offered the part in the role of Bambi in the ITV2 drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl, appearing in three and two series. Madekwe played the lead role for How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedic comedy made in the year 2008. Her credits in theatre include Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams as well as Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe was officially introduced to her US debut in the series The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show aired just two episodes on The CW, and was then cancelled. In February of 2011 she was cast in the role of Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe starred as a regular character on the drama series of Revenge on ABC during two seasons. Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into an extended family of. She was raised by the parents Roy and Patty along with four of their older brothers: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley was raised in the arenas and baseball parks because the four brothers who were athletic were hockey players, baseball players, and both in the summer and winter. Ashley didn't walk, instead she danced. In the age of two and half she discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley was addicted to dance immediately. When she was in the high school she attended, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in tap, jazz, ballet and pointe as well as acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical, and hip-hop. She also won the top awards for soloists in every major dance contests, like the International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
